Surface Water Treatment Technique Violation, February 2021
Due to the Freezing temperatures and chlorines lowered effectiveness in colder water expected residuals were not as effective in our treatment process. The City Of Midland PSW1650001 has taken the following corrective actions, Chlorine levels where increased at the water plant and flows where lowered to get back into compliance with State Of Texas Contact Time requirement’s.

Surface Water Treatment Technique Violation, July 2016
The City of Midland’s raw surface water supply experienced a significant spike of naturally occurring manganese for four days at the beginning of July 2016, causing a colored tint in the City’s treated water supply. This color was chemically treated out of the City’s raw water supply upon discovery of the excess manganese.
This notice pertains to the treatment process and is not a contaminant violation.
