The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $4,675,115.
This month's figure reflects a 29.97 percent increase ($1,077,977 increase) from October 2017. The number is the highest October sales tax receipts in Midland’s history.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; October collection is based on August sales. The City’s fiscal year runs from October through the following September.
