The City of Midland has collected this month’s revenue from the State Comptroller’s Office. The total amount of revenue received was $3,867,300.
This month’s figure reflects a 20.06 percent decrease ($970,460 decrease) from March 2019.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2019-2020 is down 5.81 percent ($1,734,989 decrease) from last year’s totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $28,128,786.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; March collection is based on January sales. The City’s fiscal year runs from October through the following September.
