Lamesa Road Overpass:
Due to the damage of a recent crash, the Texas Department of Transportation is restricting the Lamesa Road overpass at Interstate 20 to one lane operation. This traffic control will remain in place until a bridge repair is made. At this time, there is no proposed date when the bridge will be repaired and reopened to full operation.
Storm Drain Inlet Repair at the Garfield Street:
The City of Midland Transportation Division will continue repairing a damaged storm drain inlet at the 1600 block of North Garfield Street. Lane closures will be used for north and south bound traffic on Garfield Street at the Garfield Street and Golf Course Road intersection while repairs are made.
Utility Extension Program:
The City’s Contractor is working at various locations:
• Mogford Street between Michigan Street and Louisiana Street: During the project, Mogford Street, Michigan Street, and Louisiana Street may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane of traffic.
• Alley immediately north of West Hicks Avenue between Moran Street and Goode Street: During the project, Goode Street and Johnston Street may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane. They alley between Goode Street and Moran Street may also have partial closures.
• Between Scharbauer Drive and Elm Avenue, east of Lamesa Road: During the project, Scharbauer Drive and Elm Avenue may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane.
• South Mineola Street between east Industrial Avenue and east Wall Street: During the project, south Mineola Street may be temporarily closed or reduced to a single lane. The intersections at east Industrial Avenue, east Wall Street and east Texas Avenue may also have partial closures.
