One man was pronounced deceased following an accident on Interstate 20 Thursday afternoon.
Robert Elvis Walters, 58, of Crosbyton, was pronounced deceased on scene following a one-vehicle rollover.
Midland Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene of the accident in the 3000 block of I-20 at approximately 4:27 p.m. and found that Walters had been ejected from the 3-axle oilfield service truck he was driving.
The investigation into the accident revealed that the truck had been traveling eastbound in the right lane of I-20 when the front right tire of the vehicle blew out and caused the vehicle to move to the right toward an embankment. The truck rolled on its left side, ejecting the driver out of the cab, and came to a stop in the south service road.
Next of kin has been notified.
