[ARCHIVED] Fire Department kicks off Fill the Boot campaign

The Midland Fire Department is kicking off its three-day Fill the Boot campaign today to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Firefighters and volunteers will be stationed at four locations around Midland to collect donations in fire boots between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. today through Friday. The intersection locations are: Midkiff Road and Wadley Avenue, Midland Drive and Loop 250, Midland Drive and Andrews Highway, and Garfield Street and Golf Course Road.

The Fill the Boot campaign is conducted across the nation by firefighters, who have become among some the most vital sponsors for the MDA. Midland firefighters raised more than $100,000 last year, ranking them among the highest fundraisers per capita in the nation.
