[ARCHIVED] Hogan's Run Dog Park Events to Benefit Non-Profits

Events taking place at Hogan's Run Dog Park (1201 E. Wadley Ave.) this Saturday will benefit the Alzheimer's Association and the American Cancer Society.

The Alzheimer's Association's "Bark in the Park" fundraising event will take place starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. Fun for the entire family will include demonstrations on agility, pet therapy, obidence training, Hospice Hounds & Pets Peace of Mind and Dog Tales. There will also be contests for the cutest costume, owner look-alike and best trick. A raffle drawing will award four gift baskets for large and small dogs of both genders. The public can register starting at 9:15 a.m. for the American Cancer Society's "Bark for Life," a non-competitive walk event for dogs and their owners. This event will begin at 10 a.m. with the walk, which will be followed by a silent auction, K-9 unit demonstration and more. Proceeds from the walk will benefit the American Cancer Society.
