A Big Spring woman died from her injuries after being hit by a vehicle in the Midland Memorial Hospital parking lot on Tuesday.

Barbara Hall, 62, was walking northbound in the northwest parking lot of the hospital at approximately 11:49 a.m. when she was struck by a silver Ford F-150 that was driven by 73-year-old Jimmie Meador. The investigation into the accident revealed that Meador was traveling westbound in the parking lot at an unsafe speed and struck Hall with the front left portion of her vehicle.

Hall was transported inside the hospital with life-threatening injuries but did not survive. Next of kin has been notified and charges are pending. A possible medical episode is also being investigated as a factor in the accident.
