The City of Midland is asking citizens to take the lead in imagining what their community will look like in future years through “Tall City Tomorrow,” a long-range plan that will set the course for future development.
Over the course of the next 15-18 months, the City of Midland will give residents and businesses several chances to work alongside planners to sketch out a vision for the future that will reflect the city’s values and aspirations. The plan will address several issues, such as housing development, efficient delivery of public services, recreational opportunities, and public-private partnerships.
The public is invited to participate in hands-on open house sessions between 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 or between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Centennial Library (2503 W. Loop 250 N., next to Best Buy) to generate ideas together for Midland’s future. Citizens are also invited to attend a public meeting about the project at noon on Thursday, Nov. 13 at Centennial Library, where the Tall City Tomorrow planning team will share details of plan development and potential direction for Midland. Attendees will be able to hear ideas generated over the course of the design process and provide interactive feedback on the design concepts.
