[ARCHIVED] Structure Fire

Two Midland homes received damage after a structure fire broke out Thursday evening.

The Midland Fire Department responded to the fire at approximately 9:26 p.m. at a residence located in the 3100 block of Delano Avenue. The fire appeared to have started in a storage area in the garage of the residence. Heat from the fire caused a secondary explosion of a nitrous tank in the back of a truck in the garage. The structure received heavy smoke and fire damage.

The fire also spread to the adjacent house located east of the structure where the fire began. The second house received minor damage to the outside of the structure.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
