[ARCHIVED] Scharbauer Sports Complex temporary limb drop-off location reopened

The temporary drop-off location for disposal of tree limbs at the Scharbauer Sports Complex has been reopened through Sunday, Feb. 1 due to high demand.

The temporary drop-off site, located at 5514 Champions Drive, will remain open to citizens 24 hours per day, seven days per week until Sunday, Feb. 1. Drop-off locations at Beal and Hogan Parks are no longer open, and contractors can no longer use the temporary drop-off sites as of Monday, Jan. 12.

Citizens and contractors can always drop off storm debris during regular business hours at the Citizens Collection Station, located at 4100 Smith Rd., or the City of Midland Landfill, 7901 Garden City Highway. All fees for disposing of tree limbs at the Landfill will be waived to both citizens and contractors through Saturday, Jan. 24.

Citizens are reminded not to throw debris in their alleyway or near dumpsters. Debris will not be picked up if placed by the dumpster and could result in a fine.
