The Contractor working for the City of Midland on the 2014 Utility Extension Program will be performing work in the area of Mineola Street. During construction, several intersections and sections of streets may be reduced to one lane or closed at the following locations: 1) Mineola Street between Wall Street and Industrial Avenue; 2) Industrial Avenue between Mineola Street and Terrell Street; 3) Wall Street between Mineola Street and Terrell Street; and 4) The alley between Mineola Street and Terrell Street immediately north of Wall Street.

The Contractor will also be performing work in the area of Midland Drive south of Storey Avenue. During construction, several lanes along Midland Drive may be closed near the alley located immediately south of the intersection with Storey Avenue.

West Loop 250 & Interstate 20 Service Roads:

TxDOT started a project to install traffic signals on West Loop 250 on the service roads of Interstate 20. During this project, both service roads of Interstate 20 will be four-way stops until the signals are in operation.

Also, an oversized load caused damage to the overpass at this same interchange on Friday, December 5. Southbound and northbound traffic is down to one lane across the bridge.

Lamesa Road Overpass:

TxDOT has installed temporary signals to allow traffic to use the single lane in alternating fashion. It is extremely important that people obey the signal light to prevent crashes. Half of the bridge will be barricaded to prevent use of the section of the overpass that was severely damaged by an oversized load.
