The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $4,928,117.
This month's figure reflects a 13.03 percent increase, or a $567,920 increase, from February 2014.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2014-2015 is up 16.43 percent, or a $2,924,535 increase, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $20,722,527.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; February collection is based on December sales.
