The Midland Police Department is looking to return stolen property to its rightful owners after recovering several items in connection with the arrest of two Midland men.
Midland police arrested Josh Turner, 25, and Ricky Kidwell, 28, on Feb. 11 following a traffic stop for possession of dangerous drugs, with additional charges pending for theft, burglary of a vehicle and credit card abuse.
Officers recovered several items of stolen property from the suspects, including GPS systems, sunglasses, wallets, knives, cologne, backpacks and other miscellaneous property. The items are believed to have been taken starting around Jan. 29 from vehicles located in the southwest area of Midland, from Loop 250 to Midkiff Drive and Andrews Highway to Wall Street.
MPD would like to return the recovered property to its rightful owners. Individuals who have recently had items stolen in this area can schedule an appointment to visit MPD at 601 N. Loraine St. to view the items. Citizens must present a valid driver’s license and a case number for the associated police report to retrieve their property. Anyone who does not have a case number but has been a victim of theft in that vicinity within the two-week time frame can contact MPD at 432-685-7108 to file a report.
