[ARCHIVED] All-American Chevrolet in Midland to make donation to MPD

A local car dealership plans to make a donation to the Midland Police Department honor guard to support their efforts in honoring fallen Midland County Deputy Sgt. Michael Naylor later this year.

The All-American Chevrolet Superstore in Midland will present a check to MPD for $1,000 at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26 at their dealership located at 4100 W. Wall St. The donation will help fund a trip to Washington, D.C. in May for National Police Week. The MPD honor guard will be in attendance to honor Sgt. Naylor, who was killed in the line of duty in October 2014. Sgt. Naylor’s name will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial during National Police Week.

The MPD honor guard is comprised of seven members. The group proudly presents national and state flags at events such as memorial ceremonies, banquets, funerals.
