[ARCHIVED] Local law enforcement agencies team up for Bustin' for Badges

The Midland Police Department invites the media to attend a press conference to promote the second annual Bustin’ for Badges.

Representatives from the Midland and Odessa Police Departments and the Midland County and Ector County Sheriff’s Offices will be present to discuss the fundraiser at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3 at MPD headquarters.

Bustin’ for Badges is a clay shoot tournament scheduled for Thursday, April 30 through Friday, May 1 at Windwalker Farms located at 2551 County Road 2801 in Stanton. Teams of four will square off to raise money that will support local law enforcement in purchasing items like bullet proof vests and training equipment for officers and the community. Last year, each agency received a check for $32,000 thanks to the generosity of the community.

All sponsorships and entry costs are tax-deductible. Individuals interested in registering for a team can do so online at the Bustin’ for Badges website. The deadline to register is April 24.
