The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $3,076,700.
This month's figure reflects a 1.45 percent decrease, or a $45,273 decrease, from April 2014.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2014-2015 is up 11.81 percent, or a $2,874,721 increase, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $27,212,130.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; April collection is based on February sales.
