The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $3,284,825.
This month's figure reflects a 7.32 percent decrease, or a $259,511 decrease, from July 2014.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2014-2015 is up 5.82 percent, or a $2,071,826 increase, from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $37,680,443.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; July collection is based on May sales.
