One person was declared deceased and another was arrested for intoxication manslaughter following an accident early Sunday morning.
James Hardin, 29, was found to be intoxicated following the accident at Big Spring Street and Texas Avenue, after traveling the wrong direction on Texas Avenue and striking a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Roxana Tarango of Midland.
Midland Police and Fire Departments responded to the accident at approximately 2:33 a.m. Sunday and found Tarango deceased on scene. The investigation revealed that Hardin was driving westbound on Texas Avenue in a Chevy 3500 pickup when it collided with a northbound Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Tarango.
Hardin was not injured in the accident and was charged with intoxication manslaughter Sunday morning. Next of kin have been notified.
