The Midland Police Department is investigating a double homicide that took place early Friday morning.
The two victims, who have not been identified, are believed to have been shot inside a structure that was set on fire. Midland Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a disturbance and fire at approximately 2:30 a.m. at a small structure located next to a mobile home in the 6300 block of Kanawha. Two bodies were found inside the burning structure with gunshot wounds.
No suspects have been identified and the victims' bodies have been sent to Tarrant County for autopsy and identification. The investigation continues.
