[ARCHIVED] Parents encouraged to beat back-to-school rush for vaccinations

Midland Health & Senior Services is urging parents to bring their children in early to receive immunizations before the back-to school rush.

Every year, lines at Midland Health & Senior Services begin to grow as the school year nears. No appointment is necessary, so parents are encouraged to visit the center at 3303 W. Illinois in the Kingsway Mall to get their children vaccinated today. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday.

By maintaining their children's immunization schedule, parents can help reduce childhood diseases and suffering. In addition to necessary immunizations for grade school students, Health & Senior Services also offers the state-required meningitis vaccine to college students.

For more information, please call 432-681-7613.
