The City of Midland has collected this month's sales tax revenue from the State Comptroller's Office.
The total amount of revenue received was $2,993,396.
This month's figure reflects a 23.61 percent decrease, or a $925,294 decrease, from October 2014. October represents the first month of the fiscal year.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; October collection is based on August sales.
