[ARCHIVED] 4- to 6-year-olds invited to sign up for Pee Wee Basketball League

Registration is now open for the Midland Parks and Recreation Division's Pee Wee Basketball League.

Designed to teach fundamentals to boys and girls ages 4-6, the Pee Wee Basketball League will begin in December. Registration for the league is $25 per child and is open from now until Dec. 4 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (2300 Butternut Ln.). The league is limited to the first 60 registrants. Hours of registration are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Games will be held on Saturday morning and practice will be one evening per week for an hour. Registration includes five guaranteed games, a t-shirt, a CD with pictures, and an award. Volunteer coaches are still needed and must be good with children and have basic basketball knowledge.
