Midland police are investigating a fatal accident that took place Sunday morning.
Midland Police and Fire Departments responded to the two-vehicle accident at approximately 6:29 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of FM 1788 and North Loop 40. Katlin Gaddy, 27, of Odessa was found deceased at the scene.
Investigators found that Gaddy had been traveling northbound on FM 1788 near North Loop 40 in a Dodge Avenger when his vehicle veered into the path of a Ford F-350 pickup traveling southbound. Gaddy was the only occupant of the Dodge Avenger. The driver of the pickup received minor injuries and refused treatment, and a passenger in the pickup was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and next of kin have been notified.
