The Midland Police Department will host a retirement party for Sgt. David Scardino at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 in the third floor classroom of MPD (601 N. Loraine St.).
Sgt. Scardino has been with MPD for 33 years and began his career as an officer in 1982. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2003 and has served the department in a variety of capacities including field training supervisor, community service supervisor, and firearms instructor. He’s also a current member of the MPD Honor Guard. Sgt. Scardino has received numerous commendations during his time in law enforcement including the Crime Stoppers Officer of the Year award, City of Midland Management award and the Medal of Service award.
Light refreshments and punch will be served.
