District 2 residents are invited to learn more about their local government and receive updates specific to their neighborhoods at two upcoming community meetings.
Public meetings will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at the MLK Jr. Community Center (2300 Butternut Lane) and Thursday, May 26 at Martinez Bakery (206 E. Florida Ave.). City Council Member John B. Love III, County Commissioner Luis Sanchez, and City of Midland staff will be available to answer questions and discuss trends related to safety, development, and local laws. City officials will be in attendance from the police, fire, utilities, engineering, and development services departments.
The meeting will begin with formal comments by each department, followed by a question and answer session.
