Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that took place Saturday evening in Midland.
Ernesto Natividad, 26, was arrested by Midland police and charged with murder for the death of 20-year-old Walter Galicia, of Midland.
At approximately 8:49 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, Midland Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at the Midland Polo Club located at 5401 Polo Club Road, and found Galicia with two gunshot wounds at a nearby private stable. He was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Witnesses were able to identify Natividad, who returned to the area and was arrested. Natividad and Galicia both performed work for polo enthusiasts in the area and were attending a gathering at the time of the incident. They were said to have been in an argument before the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
