[ARCHIVED] Midland man deceased following single-vehicle accident

A Midland man was declared deceased after he was ejected from his vehicle on Interstate 20 on Saturday evening.

Midland Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident at approximately 10:26 p.m. near Mile Marker 134 along the interstate. Upon arrival, first responders found 33-year-old Christian Rodriguez, of Midland, in the inside eastbound lane of the roadway. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

The investigation into the accident revealed that Rodriguez had been traveling eastbound on the south service road of the interstate in a white Ford F-150 when he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle entered the median between the service road and main eastbound lanes and began to roll. It is unknown at this time why Rodriguez lost control of the vehicle.
