Midland residents are invited to join their neighbors and the Midland Police Department for pizza and refreshments from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 21 at Washington Park (1803 E. Indiana Ave.) near the Washington Aquatic Center.
"Pizza with a Cop" will allow citizens and police to come together in an informal, neutral space and build better relationships. This event adds to the list of the other community events that MPD hosts such as Citizen Police Academy, Women's Self Defense Class, National Night Out, Coffee with a Cop, and more.
"We want to give Midland citizens every chance possible to meet our officers and get to know us," said Community Relations Sgt. Jimmy Young. "We enjoy meeting with the community in a positive environment that brings us closer together."
