Hogan Dog Park will be closed for maintenance on Monday, Aug. 22 and Tuesday, Aug. 23.
The City of Midland Parks and Recreation is closing the dog park primarily to treat the area for fleas and ticks. Although these parasites pose a threat to pets year-round, their numbers tend to grow in warmer weather. The maintenance will include mowing and applying a granular treatment that must sit undisturbed for the two days.
The “Waggin’ Trail” Dog Park at Beal Park will remain open all week, and Hogan Dog Park will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
