Midland police made an arrest on Thursday in connection with a shooting that took place Wednesday morning.
Nathaniel Lewis, 21 (DOB 12/11/92), was arrested late Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop after he was identified by investigators as the suspect in the Wednesday shooting of cousins Korey Munson, 24, and Jamal Samuels, 19, in the 1200 block of East Maple Avenue. The two victims were lying outdoors in front of a residence with gunshot wounds when authorities arrived on scene. Samuels was discharged from Midland Memorial Hospital later that morning and Munson remains in the hospital in stable condition.
Lewis faces two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
