A Midland Fire Marshal’s Office investigation resulted in the arrest of two people who are now facing arson charges.
The two suspects, 26-year-old Kendrick McLaughlin and 24-year-old Kayla Mesa, were arrested Monday evening at the Executive Inn located at 1000 S. Midkiff Rd. in connection with a structure fire on the morning of Jan. 1 in the 3200 block of Franklin Avenue.
Information received from a Crime Stoppers tip led Midland fire investigators and police officers to arrest the two suspects on the charge of arson of an occupied building, a first-degree felony.
