[ARCHIVED] MPD searching for motorcyclist involved in Nov. 2 pursuit

Midland police have released more information about the motorcyclist involved in a pursuit last week that ended with Officer Jacob Churchwell sustaining serious injuries from a single-vehicle crash.

The motorcyclist is described as a male between the ages of 25 and 35 with a light complexion. He was shown to be wearing a blue backpack and was operating a Suzuki GXR that was white, blue and black.

His image was shown on surveillance cameras from the Kent Kwik at Highway 191 and Avalon Drive around 2:36 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and then near the H-E-B at Highway 191 and Loop 250, before the pursuit began.

Midland Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts. Anyone with information about this motorcyclist is encouraged to call the Midland Police Department at 432-685-7108 or Midland Crime Stoppers at 432-694-TIPS.

Officer Churchwell remains in stable condition and the investigation into the crash continues.
