[ARCHIVED] Felony arrests made in connection with Thursday burglary

Midland Police Department has made three arrests in connection with a burglary and shooting that occurred early Thursday morning.

Midland police responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 3:04 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of South Terrell Street. Officers found a 27-year-old female victim who had a minor gunshot wound.

The victim reported that two male suspects and one female suspect kicked in a side door of the residence and demanded the victim give them her money and belongings before shooting her as she fled to a room to hide. Three other people were in the residence at the time of the shooting and were unharmed. The shooting victim refused treatment for her gunshot wound, which appeared to be superficial.

Officers arrested 43-year-old Cedric Dion Williams, 25-year-old John Henry McClelland, and 33-year-old Timiko Phillips for burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit another felony. Officers have obtained warrants for the same charges for 31-year-old Erica Gray and 19-year-old Tomi Jo McPherson. Two other involved individuals have yet to be identified; one of whom is a child who is believed to be roughly 11 or 12 years old.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Midland Police Department at 432-685-7108 or Midland Crime Stoppers at 432-694-TIPS.
