The City of Midland’s Parks and Recreation Department will kick off its popular "Movie in the Park" series with a free showing of "Moana" at Hill Park (1301 W. Cuthbert Ave.) at dusk on Friday, May 19.
Bring your kids, lawn chairs and blankets for this family-friendly event, which will begin around 9 p.m. To see a full list of upcoming Movie in the Park events, which are presented in partnership with Fox 24, please visit www.midlandtexas.gov/movies. Movies will be shown on various Fridays throughout summer at different City of Midland parks.
Here are the scheduled movies for this summer, subject to weather conditions:
May 19 - Moana - Hill Park, 1301 W. Cuthbert Ave.
June 2 - Zootopia - Butler Park, 3801 Bluebird Lane
June 16 - Star Wars: Rogue One - Windlands Park, 1001 W. Dengar Ave.
July 7 - The Jungle Book (2016) - C.J. Kelly Park, 5500 League Dr.
July 21 - Finding Dory - Hogan Park, 1201 E. Wadley Ave.
August 4 - Secret Life of Pets - Beal Park, 5200 W. Wall St.
August 18 - Sing - Fasken Park, 2301 Humble Ave.
