The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $3,684,473.This month's figure reflects a 29.80 percent increase ($845,871 increase) from January 2017.The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2017-2018 is up 33.62 percent ($3,778,213 increase) from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $15,014,665.Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; January collection is based on November sales. The City’s fiscal year runs from October through the following September.
