The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $4,905,389.
This month's figure reflects a 34.24 percent increase ($1,251,282 increase) from February 2017.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2017-2018 is up 33.78 percent ($5,029,495 increase) from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $19,920,054.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; February collection is based on December sales. The City’s fiscal year runs from October through the following September.
