The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $3,785,987.
This month's figure reflects a 40.19 percent increase ($1,085,335 increase) from April 2017.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2017-2018 is up 37.06 percent ($7,578,327 increase) from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $28,026,905.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; April collection is based on February sales. The City’s fiscal year runs from October through the following September.
