[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed for Airport Disaster Drill

Midland International Air and Space Port (MAF) needs volunteers to act as patients and passengers for a live-action security drill May 5.

Adults and children will be provided with the opportunity to have Hollywood-style special effects make-up applied to simulate injuries, and gain a glimpse into how first-responders train for disaster.

Lunch is provided for all volunteers, as is entry to a raffle for door prizes. Volunteers must register at www.surveymonkey.com/r/DisEx2018.

Every three years, MAF holds a full-scale drill to practice protocol for emergency situations. Numerous law enforcement agencies, medical facilities, and airport personnel participate in order to practice the collaboration and team-work necessary to effectively respond to emergency scenarios.
