The Doug Russell Aquatic Center and the Washington Family Aquatic Center will open May 26 and will remain open through May 28 for Memorial Day Weekend. The pools will close during the week, and re-open for the summer on June 2. The regular operating hours for both pools are as follows:

Reservations and Admission
The City of Midland Parks and Recreation Division is now taking reservations for private pool parties and pavilion rentals. You may book a party online at the City of Midland’s webpage (www.midlandtexas.gov/onlinereservations), at the MLK Center, 2300 Butternut Lane or the Parks Office, 2701 Elizabeth. You may also sign up for Swim Lessons at one of these locations.
Punch Passes are available at the Parks office and the MLK Community Center and the two pools. Prices for punch cards are 10 punches $15, 25 punches $35 and 75 punches $75. Regular pool admission cost is $3.00
New for 2018
Concessions at the pools will no longer be available, with the exception of drinks. However, guests at both pools are now allowed to bring outside coolers into the water park. Please observe the following guidelines:
- Cooler charge is $10 per cooler per entry
- Cooler may not be bigger than 21”x21”x21” and fit in the cooler box located at the entry
- Guests may bring outside food into the pools IF the food is inside a cooler
- No glass containers of any type are allowed.
- No alcohol or knives are allowed.
- All coolers must be opened for viewing upon entry
Life jackets will be available for rent for $1.00
