The City of Midland has collected this month’s revenues from
the State Comptroller’s Office. The total amount of revenue received was$5,126,506.
This month’s figure reflects a 28.69 percent increase
($1,142,767) from August 2017.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year2017-2018 is up 37.51 percent ($12,727,246 increase) from last year’s totals at
this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $46,658,786.
Sales tax revenues is generated by sales tax income from twomonths prior to collection; August collection is based on June sales. The City’s
fiscal year runs from October through the following September.
