On May 18, 2009 Midland Animal Services will only accept owner released animals on Tuesdays.  MAS considers an animal to be an owner release if you have had possession of the animal for more than two weeks.  These animals, once surrendered will become the property of MAS and will be available for adoption or euthanasia.  We regret any inconvenience this may cause and we urge pet owners that must relenquish a family member to consider the other options that are available.  MAS can be contacted for contact information for breed specific groups or the SPCA's.  If there are any questions about this policy please contact the Director of Animal Services in person, at 528-0950, or by email at poneill@midlandtexas.gov.
