COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT – CONSOLIDATED PLAN
The City of Midland is annually awarded CDBG funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The objective of the CDBG program is to develop viable urban communities, by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income. Usage of the CDBG funds is guided by the City’s Consolidated Plan for Community Development and Housing Funds. The Consolidated Plan establishes Midland's long-range strategy for investment of its HUD resources and other resources linked to activities directed at the community development, housing and homeless services needs. The Plan covers a five-year period, beginning October 1, 2005 and ending September 30, 2010. To view the entire plan CLICK HERE.
