The GIS Division is responsible for the City of Midland GIS data maintenance and creation, housed on an Oracle 11g Database, managed by an ESRI Enterprise SDE 9.3.1. We currently utilize ESRI's ArcIMS technology to manage a series of interactive maps but are developing a new set which will be based on ArcGIS Server and FLEX technology. We provide database access along with training to over 100 City users of ArcGIS software, and we maintain close coordination with the Midland Central Appraisal District and the Midland Emergency Communications District to ensure the most accurate and updated information available.
