Citizens Fire Academy Program
The Citizens Fire Academy was developed to inform and educate the citizens of Midland about their Fire Department. This course is usually offered in the spring and fall. Classes are one night a week three to four hours per class. Participants will learn the basics of fire behavior and how to control it, along with saving the lives of fellow Midlanders. Learn how to operate a Fire Engine and pump water at a real fire scene. This takes place during an exciting twelve-week period ending with students fighting a real fire.
