SUPPORT SERVICES
All fire stations are equipped to provide visitors with a free of charge blood pressure check. Visits for this and other purposes are invited between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. seven days per week.

Fire Museum
The Midland Downtown Lions Club fire museum can be found on the east end of the Central Fire Station building. The museum, featuring old Engine #1 and old Engine #2, is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Medical staff
Off-Duty Paramedics and EMT’s are available for standbys for any event that might require medical supervision. Standby crews can be hired for your event, ambulance included, at reasonable rates. Requests for assistance and coordination should be made through the office of the Assistant Chief of Support Services at (432) 685-7338.

Citizens Fire Academy Program
The Citizens Fire Academy was developed to inform and educate the citizens of Midland about their Fire Department. This course is usually offered in the spring and fall. Classes are one night a week three to four hours per class. Participants will learn the basics of fire behavior and how to control it, along with saving the lives of fellow Midlanders. Learn how to operate a Fire Engine and pump water at a real fire scene. This takes place during an exciting twelve-week period ending with students fighting a real fire.

-Our motto is
"EDUCATION THROUGH PARTICIPATION"
