Courtney Sharp
City Manager
|
On October 1, 2008, Courtney Sharp began work as the city’s chief executive, leading a workforce of over 900 employees and an annual budget of $167 million.
Courtney earned his Bachelor of Political Science with an emphasis on Public Administration from West Texas A & M University. He is also a graduate of the Texas Tech Certified Public Manager’s Program.

Tommy Hudson
Deputy City Manager

Tommy Hudson serves the City as the Deputy City Manager. Prior to his appointment he served as Interim City Manager and Assistant City Manager. He oversees the departments of Community Services, General Services, Airports, Administrative Services, and Information Systems.
Tommy earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Angelo State University, and a Master of Public Administration from Troy State University. He also graduated from Midland High School in 1985.

Jim Nichols
Assistant City Manager

Nichols has a solid educational background. He holds a Public Management Certificate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He attended the University of Connecticut where he has a Master’s of Science in Environmental Engineering, after receiving his Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Cum Laude, from Northeastern University.
Nichols oversees the departments of Development Services, Solid Waste, and Utilities. He comes to Midland after serving as Deputy City Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada and Goodyear, Arizona.
