Midland Police and the Texas Rangers are seeking more information regarding the Officer Involved Shooting that took place on September 21, 2006, at approximately 1:20 a.m. near in the 4600 block of Graceland.

Patrol Officer John Chandler attempted to make a traffic stop before the pursuit and fatal shooting occurred.  The officer reported seeing a 2000 white Ford Mustang, driven by the suspect, attempting to “drag race” another vehicle while traveling eastbound on Thomason.

Police hope the driver of the other vehicle, a dark colored Chrysler Sebring, will come forward as a possible witness.  This vehicle would have been traveling eastbound in the inside lane of Thomason at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 21, 2006.
