ARREST MADE IN CONNECTION WITH SHOOTING
Midland Police have arrested one man in connection with a shooting that occurred on December 26, 2007, at approximately 1:30 a.m. at 610 E. Industrial.

18-year-old Jamon Mims (11-27-88) of Midland was arrested overnight.  He is charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon on Licensed Premises.  The owner of Zack’s club removed Mims from the business when he displayed a weapon inside.  The charge is related to this offense as Zack’s is licensed to sell alcohol. 

More arrests are pending with this case.  Charges could include Deadly Conduct.


BE A HERO
The Midland Fire and Police Departments want to encourage the citizens of Midland to become a hero.  Midlanders can give the gift of life, donate blood, help our heroes, and become a hero themselves. 

United Blood Services and the Midland Fire Department will join forces to host a blood drive:

Central Fire Department
1500 W. Wall
10:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m.

United Blood Services will have their Blood Mobile and firefighters will be giving tours of Central Station for those that donate. 

To be a donor, you must be 17 years old; must weigh 110 pounds; be in good general health; bring a list of medications; and have a valid I.D., such as a driver’s license.
