AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
Midland Police were called to the 5100 block of Ric early this morning, March 21, 2007, in reference to an accident and assault.
Detectives have learned the incident began in the parking lot of The Ranch, 4400 N. Big Spring just after 2:00 a.m. Two men, 29-year-old Clinton Willingham (12-4-77) and 24-year-old John Quilimaco (9-4-82) were involved in a fight in the parking lot. The two then got into vehicles, each with a friend, and left the location. Quilimaco and his friend 27-year-old Amador Marez (12-13-78) were riding in a red truck and followed Willingham and his friend 28-year-old David White (1-12-79) in a white caprice. When the two vehicles approached the 5100 block of Ric, the truck struck the car several times. The two vehicles came to a stop.
At this time, the four exit the vehicles and another fight takes place. White stabbed Quilimaco in the eye and chest. He also stabs Marez in the back. Willingham continued to assault Quilimaco.
Both Quilimaco and Marez were transported to Midland Memorial Hospital.
Willingham and White were arrested on the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Police recovered a folding knife believed to be the weapon used.
The investigation continues.
