FILL THE BOOT
Midland Firefighters will hit the streets in an effort to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Fill the Boot campaign will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 9-11, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Firefighters will collect donations at four different busy intersections. Look for them at Midland Drive and Loop 250, Midkiff and Wadley, Midland Drive and Andrews Highway, and Rankin Highway and I-20 outside the new Walmart.
The money raised by these local heroes benefits the Midland Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The funds raised remain in Midland to provide essential program services for those served by MDA.
In 2006, the department raised a record breaking $77,556 for MDA. This year’s goal is $85,000.
